Through InfoMall, NPAC has numerous industrial collaborations ranging from using HPCC technologies for design of new aircraft to applying parallel computing for a new generation of video games. NPAC has several large projects with Rome Laboratory and these produced several important technological advances including the TangoInteractive Collaboration system. We are currently working with the DoD High Performance Computing and Communication Program as part of the PET (Programming Environments and Training) activity. These involves collaboration with the four MSRC's (Major Shared Resesource Centers) NPAC is a member of the prestigious Center for Research in Parallel Computing (CRPC), a research consortium of seven participating institutions in Parallel Processing: Argonne National Laboratory, California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Los Alamos National Laboratory, Rice University, Syracuse University, University of Tennessee, and University of Texas. The work of CRPC provides core technological advancements which are then shared with industry through the InfoMall prog ram run by NPAC. NPAC also has numerous collaborations with other institutions of higher education and national laboratories. NPAC routinely collaborates on research proposals and projects with schools and departments at Syracuse University. Joint projects currently involve the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Newhouse School of Public Communications, the schools of Education and Information Studies, the Physics department as we ll as Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering and other departments at the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science.
