Java Grande is the use of Java in the fields of High Performance Network Computing, Scientific and Engineering Computation, (Distributed) Modeling and Simulation, Parallel and Distributed Computing , Data Intensive Computing, Communication and Computing Intensive Commercial and Academic Applications, HPCC, Computational Grids.
The Java Grande Resource page defines the Java Grande process with workshops and forum to set standards and establish community consensus for evolution of Java Grande.

Java Courses Offered at NPAC

SciVis- A Java Collaboration System
ScVis is collaborative scientific data visualization package that will aid researchers from distant, diverse locations to work together in developing scientific codes, providing them with a system to analyze their scientific data. The collaborative environment is written entirely in Java . Two important areas which we have concentrated on developing are 1) a collaborative framework from which the scientific data is interpreted and utilized, and 2) a framework, which is customizable to the suit of a particular task and/or scientific group
