During Summer 1991, the Northeast Parallel Architectures Center (NPAC) and the Physics Department at Syracuse University conducted a 10-week Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Computational Physics and Computer Science. Eleven ``Research Apprentices'' took part in the program.

The NPAC REU program has two main components: intensive training in high-performance computing and computational science, and an individual research project conducted under the supervision of members of the NPAC reseach staff and Syracuse University faculty.

Abstracts and papers for all 1991 NPAC REU projects are available.

Funding for the 1991 NPAC REU program was provided by the National Science Foundation (Grant CDA-9100833), Syracuse University, and the Northeast Parallel Architectures Center.
