Weather at the click of a mouse

The Weather Applet offers you the latest weather information of the United States by use of a Java applet. For the input data of our applet, data is obtained from Unidata. The Weather Applet permits you to choose various visualization techniques for Weather Data.

NewsBank Database at NPAC

This database at NPAC contains CD News collection from NewsBank in which full-text of many of the most respected and widely circulated newspapers in the United States are indexed in an Oracle RDBMS at NPAC.

As part of NPAC's Living School Book Project to provide rich multimedia information resources to K12 teachers and students, this full-text search engine allows students instant access to information on curre nt issues and events of local, state and national concern using Internet and World-Wide-Web, instead of the traditional way of news reading/distribution from a CD-ROM.
