EFP Internship Program in NPAC

stands for "Ecole Franco-Polonaise en Nouvelles Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication". EFP is an elite college in Poznan, Poland, funded by the French Telecom, Bull Computers, and Telecommunication Poland.

NPAC and EFP are currently running an 18-months internship program. Under the program, senior EFP students are visiting NPAC to participate in NPAC research and development projects. The internships are 5 to 6 months long and during this time EFP students are fully integrated with NPAC research teams. In certain cases EFP students return to NPAC to work on their MSc research projects.

Three groups of EFP interns visited NPAC in the in '95 and in '96. Twelve students and two junior researcher worked on a variety of projects, including Video on Demand, Web-Database Integration, Web Agents, Network Management, Wavelet Compression, Database support for VRML, and more recently, on the large collaboratory project codenamed TANGO.
