TANGO Interactive Startup Page

To join the class, you MUST use one of the links provided below.  There are four links available: a link for students, a link for the teacher, a link for the support personnel, and a link that should be used by the workstation at  each site that runs BuenaVista, TANGO Interactive videoconferencing agent.

Please, make sure that you select a link corresponding to your role in the Java Academy. Students MUST select students' link. A student trying to select another link will not be able to follow the class.

Support personnel should use "Support person" link. This interface gives access to a private chat channel reserved for support personnel. We request that this workstation is attended to by a support person at each site for the entire duration of the class!

We recommend that each participating site runs one workstation dedicated to BuenaVista. This workstation should select "Audio workstation" link.
If a site runs only one workstation and uses a large screen display, please, select the "Support person" interface.

Nota Bene: Proceed carefully! Select the right interface. Changing the interface during the class may lead to problems with Session Manager and BuenaVista startup. If you changed the interface and then you have experienced difficulties, you must leave TANGO Intractive Session Manager, restart Netscape browser, and rejoin the class using correct interface. 

 
Join the class as a student
For students and mentors (who are not also Support Personnel).
Join Session with Simple Chat and Shared Browser.

 
Join the class as the teacher
For the one main teacher at Syracuse. Start sessions.

 
Join the class as a support person
Join Session with Support Chat. May also join Simple Chat and Shared Browser with the class.
May join BV if not using separate BV workstation below.

 
Join the class as audio workstation operator
Join BV and Support Chat.
