About the PCRC Web pages

The PCRC web pages at NPAC consist of five parts:
  1. Root PCRC pages
  2. July97 subdirectory
  3. HPJava subdirectory
  4. papers subdirectory
  5. reports subdirectory

The July97 directory contains Web materials developed in the course of the project (by Xinying Li and others). The root pages were developed towards the end of the project to hold "deliverable" material.

The HPJava subdirectory is under active development.

The papers and reports directories hold latex sources, Postscript, PDF and HTML for papers and reports produced at NPAC in PCRC and successor projects, including the HPJava project. These directories are still very active.

Externally sourced documents (and documents for which latex sources aren't available) are held in the doc subdirectories---part of the root PCRC pages.

The majority of PDF documents on these pages were generated using Aladdin Ghostscript, version 5.10 or later. Older versions of Adobe Acrobat Reader may fail to read them. Version 3.0 or later is recommended. It can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/prodindex/acrobat/ .

Currently sectors 1 and 2 are maintained in a single CVS package; 3, 4 and 5 each have their own CVS packages. Links within individual modules are nearly always relative. Links between modules are absolute, and assume the home directories are maintained at
